Bible Ascension is all about Life and Death

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

“We are not meant to be limited by the natural laws of this dimension. The I AM Presence is the assurance of our access into the Supernatural Miracle Working Power of God.  This power is always available to us to bring life, peace, health, prosperity and joy into our lives.”

Hello dear friends,

I am writing to you from Maine. My family and I are spending the month of July on this beautiful coast.

This morning I was reading in the book of Romans. Again I am reminded that the Bible message is all about Life and Death.

Romans 8:11

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

Romans 8:13-14

“For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the flesh you will live.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God these are the Sons of God.”

Romans 8:2

“For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.”

Romans 8:5-6

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Romans 8:28

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His Purpose.”

These are repeating themes throughout the Bible:

Life and Death

The Law of the Spirit versus the Law of Sin and Death.

To be dead spiritually is to be cut off from the Spirit of God and the Law of the Spirit which is the source of Eternal Life. Eternal Life is all about being connected to God and His Purpose versus being disconnected and struggling in the human condition, already in the process of dying.

Human beings begin the dying process the moment they are born.

Bible Ascension and The I AM Presence

There is no conflict between the concepts of Bible Ascension and the message of the I AM Presence.

The only real difference is the emphasis of the Bible on the redemptive ministry of Jesus: the powerful benefits of His work on the cross, in hell, and the ascension to the right hand of the Father.

Also included in Bible Ascension is the concept of the Great Exchange. This is the understanding that the great gift of God is the exchange of our sin, sickness, mortality and poverty with the righteousness, health, immortality, and abundance found in Jesus.

“Jesus died that we might live.” “He became sin so that we can become the righteousness of God.”

These are important concepts for the student of Bible Ascension but the ideas of the I AM Presence are also powerful tools to use in the Ascension process.

Focusing on the I AM Presence is to be spiritually minded. Focusing on the personal self is to be carnally minded.

It is not just about things that are “sinful” but about the sense of separation from God.

If you understand that the word “flesh” in the Bible refers to the human part of us, the part that is lost in the consciousness of separation from the Spirit of God… not the body, but the consciousness of separation and all that it implies, you will understand what it means to be carnally minded.

When you use the I AM affirmations and meditate on the I AM Presence acting in every area of your life, you have turned to the Spirit… wherein life and peace lies.

When you take your eyes off the Mighty Presence you are focusing on self or the natural law of this dimension. Natural law without God is the Law of Sin and Death.

We are not meant to be limited by the natural laws of this dimension. The I AM Presence is the assurance of our access into the Supernatural Miracle Working Power of God.  This power is always available to us to bring life, peace, health, prosperity and joy into our lives.

The I AM Presence is a kin to “Dwelling in the Secret Place of the Most High” reference in Psalms 91.

Understand these simple concepts and you have the key to manifesting the complete will of God into your life!

An Ambassador of His Glory,

Marty Dow

The Bible As A Guide To Manifesting Our New Reality

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

Happy Easter!

I promised a new audio to help answer so many of your questions. It turns out that I need to create a series of audios for you.

Today I am making available the first one.  In this audio I share with you one of the most profound secrets that I have ever learned… the bible is one of the greatest treatises on how to manifest that the world has ever seen.

One morning after dreaming about how the world was manifested from the Light of Christ, I was told that the key to my understanding the hidden meanings of the Bible was the fact that “It is all about manifesting.”  I was told that if I got this one fact the meaning of the Bible would open to me.

In this audio and in the rest of this series, I will share the revelations given me about the meaning of the Bible message and how it relates to manifesting.

Enjoy,

Marty Dow

Audio Lesson

This recording is approximately 20 minutes long.

It Is All About Manifesting

Another Question On Salvation Through Jesus

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

Sorry I have not yet created the audio I promised. I have been very busy with travel and I am also creating a new site.  I can’t wait to share the new site with you but it is not quite ready for an unveiling.  However, I did want to continue our discussion on questions readers have sent to me.

Here is another question sent in by a fellow Bible Ascension Blog reader

Question

Following up with the question about salvation. So do you believe that those who don’t confess the name of Jesus as Lord and savior are not going to heaven and don’t have the in-dwelling spirit of God?

Answer

Remember, it is not so much what I believe but what you believe.  I told you in my last post that I had decided to believe the Bible instead of things that I learned from other sources. It is my choice to choose those things that I believe and the Bible is what I have chosen to believe.

So to answer this question, lets look at what Jesus said concerning salvation in the scriptures.

Just a quick reminder… salvation is much more than escaping hell and getting to heaven.  What we are describing on this Bible Ascension blog is about a new birth into a new species of beings… Divine beings birthed into the kingdom of God.

Read the scriptures with this image in mind and some of the old fears and resistance to the scriptures on salvation will be washed away.

Jesus as the Bread of Life

I personally love the gospel of John, so lets look there.

In John 6, Jesus describes himself as the Bread of Life.   Starting in verse 27 he tells his listeners not to “labor for food which perishes but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

Everlasting life is not chronological time… it is the very life of God that is birth into the new species of Divine Beings.

When the Jews asked him how they could do the works of God he answered, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” Vs 29

In verse 33 Jesus tells us “For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”  In verse 35 he says, “I am the bread of life.”

Verse 40, “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who see the son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Verse 47 -48, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life.”

Verse 50-51, “This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

So in these verses Jesus is making the claim that he is the bread of life, that he will give his flesh or body for the life of the world and that he came from heaven to do the Will of God which is to give those that believe in him everlasting life.

Believing On the Son Brings Everlasting Life

In chapter 3 of John Jesus makes very similar statements about who he is and why he came to earth.  This a great chapter to study more on the new birth. But for our conversation to day, lets look at John 3:16-19.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ”

A New Species of Supernatural Beings of Light

So what does all this mean.  I believe that the Bible is clear that Jesus is the incarnation of the Christ–the only begotten son of God. Christ took on the form of a man in order to complete a mission that began before the foundation of the earth. This mission was to redeem us from the curse of the human condition and translate us into a new species as members of the kingdom of heaven/or God.

When Jesus says that the one who does not believe is condemned already, I believe that he is referring to the curse. All human beings are already operating under the curse. If you reject being redeemed from the curse of the human condition, you are still cursed.

What Is Condemnation?

In verse 19, Jesus describes the condemnation. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”  The light comes into the world but it is rejected because people prefer to believe the dark thoughts produced by the world beliefs.

Even many of the Jews who studied the ancient scriptures did not recognize who Jesus was when they met him. In John 5: 38-40 Jesus tells his listeners, “But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.”

The New Believer

Jesus describes what a new believer will look like in Mark 16:15-18.  Go read this for yourself. It describes a supernatural race of beings that have the ability to heal the sick, speak in tongues, drink poison with no ill effect, and to handle deadly snakes with no negative consequences.

It is obvious to me that these folks have stepped out of the human condition of struggle and fear into a supernatural ability to overcome the effects of the curse… not just for themselves but for others too!

The Holy Grail Is The Holy Spirit

As for the question of the in dwelling Spirit of God, let me refer you to Galatians 3:13-14.

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree), That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

The in dwelling of the Spirit is the Holy Grail.  It is the thing that Jesus came to give to us. The in dwelling of the Spirit is what takes us from the human condition into this new species. The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit as a deposit or guarantee of salvation  until the transformation is complete.

The natural human being is created in the image of God.  This image is extremely powerful. Human beings have great creative power because we were created in God’s image.  The Bible does not say that human beings were born of God.

Christ The Only Begotten

Christ is a part of the God Head. Christ was the only begotten Son of God because all other species were created not begotten.  Christ was birthed out of the Spirit of God. Adam was created with many of the attributes of God. Adam was not born neither were the angels.

This new species of Divine beings are birthed through faith into the family of God, as children of God… not born through natural means but through faith in the finished work of the Christ, incarnated as Jesus.

It is the gift of the Holy Spirit that enables this new birth to occur and empowers the believer with supernatural force.

The Holy Spirit has always been visible on the earth, teaching, guiding the children of men.  However, the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit comes through the work that Jesus completed in His ministry on earth.  Without this work we would never be able to transformed into this new species.

Humanity Is The Root Stock

The amazing thing to me is that the human condition is the root stock out of which this new species is being created. It is a blending of the human species with the Divine. The Divine seed is the Holy Spirit being birth into the root stock of the created, fallen human being.

The work of Jesus was to cleanse us of our karmic debt making it possible to be transformed by something as holy as the Holy Spirit.  Without that cleansing power of the blood of Jesus, a human being would have been killed — destroyed by the power and purity of God’s Spirit.

The power of the purity of the Spirit is demonstrated many times in the old testament.  Specifically, you can see this in the rituals of protection taken by the high priest of the Temple.   More on this at another time.

After the resurrection, the Bible describes Jesus as being the first born of many.  Born into what… this new species. Jesus was the first born into this new species.

Christ had to incarnate into the root stock of humanity and pay the karmic debt as a human being. Then through the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus, the man, was born into this new species making it possible for others to follow through the power of faith.

Faith in what?  Faith in the work that Jesus had accomplished on earth… through the cross, the resurrection, and the ascension.

The Real Question Here

If the questioner is at all like I was in my journey to understand the meaning of the Bible message, the real question is “What about those who are not Christians?  Are they separated from God?  Are they without the spirit of God?”

This is a great question and I will answer it in the next post.

In His Glory,

Marty Dow

What About The Bible?

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

To begin to clarify some of the questions folks have sent to me concerning my beliefs about salvation, the Holy Spirit, heaven and hell… there is no better place to start than the Bible.  The concept of Bible Ascension is rooted in the teachings of the Bible.  But I have not always trusted the Bible to be a true source of spiritual wisdom.

My Early Bible History

As a young child I was taught that the Bible was the Word of God and therefore infallible.  My childhood denomination accepted every word of the scriptures in a literal fashion. We studied one version of the Bible, the King James. There was never any mention of other translations of the Bible, researching the original language for deeper meanings, or being led by the Spiritual of Wisdom and Revelation Knowledge for the hidden meaning.  Actually, I was never encouraged to question the literal interpretation of church doctrine in any form… this would have been to question God Himself!

Fortunately for me, my father was a deep spiritual thinker that did question the literal teachings of my childhood church… my mother’s church.  He did not interfere with what I was learning but I knew that there was “other” views of what the Bible meant.

After my mother’s death I left my childhood church in anger and rebellion.  As I share in my story, I rejected the church, the Bible, Jesus and God. Everything I had learned was now suspect and discarded.

College Days and Eastern Philosophy

As I began to search for new answers to my questions about spirituality, I was taught that the Bible was untrustworthy.  I was told that it might have been God’s word at one point but unscrupulous people had changed the Bible to control the masses. Things had been removed, mistranslations had occurred and the real message had been distorted.  Many of these teachers rejected the Bible but claimed that other ancient documents held a more accurate version of the truth.  Most of these early teachers were interested in Eastern religions and philosophies.

Metaphysical Explorations

As my search led me towards metaphysical studies, I was told again about the mistranslations and omissions of the Bible.  However, many of my spiritual teachers believed that Jesus was an important teacher and that the Bible did contain hidden meanings. These folks believed that some scriptures were trustworthy… especially those that reinforced one of their core beliefs.  Scriptures that did not support their particular philosophy were ignored or rejected.  Important ideas that were not included in the Bible were thought to have been there at one time but removed by the church leaders to have more control over the masses.

Where Did All The Bibles Go?

One thing I noticed in both of these “broad” groups is that no one actually studied the Bible.  Most of their ideas on the Bible were based on what they had been taught and not on actual experiences studying the Bible.

When I moved into Metaphysical Christian churches I was struck by the lack of Bibles present… even in a Bible study group.  We studied books about the Bible and what others had written about Jesus, but never the actual Bible.  Later, when I started teaching in Metaphysical Christian churches there was always someone who came up to me after my talk and said something like this, “I really would rather you did not talk about the Bible so much. People here are uncomfortable with all the Bible talk.”   I kid you not!  But I am getting a head of myself

Answering My Bible Questions

The Bible is a part of my core being.  As a child I memorized many scriptures and participated in sword drills, a competition for demonstrating one’s ability to quickly locate scriptures.  Now I did question it’s authority, it’s accuracy, and it’s validity especially after I left the church. I even stopped studying or reading it for many years.  But I never got those scriptures out of me nor did I lose my love for Jesus.

When God directed me to return to my childhood denomination, I was filled with questions about the Bible. I spent long hours with a young minister asking my questions and challenging his beliefs.  Fortunately, he was not threatened by my questions.  He was a very smart and confident man who was skilled in Bible study.  He patiently answered my questions and suggested that I study the Bible for myself.  He guided me on how to study the Bible and gave me numerous study guides to take home with me.   We met every week for several months.  I am so thankful for this young minster. He was quite a gift to me!

One day I walked into his office gripping a Bible in my hands.  I said to him, “If only 1% of this is true, I know why those Charismatic Christians are jumping up and down and shouting.”  I had discovered the Promises of God and they were powerful!  His guidance that day has become a core part of my spiritual path.  He said, “If you always use the Bible as your foundation, you will find the Truth you seek.”

My journey led me back and forth from Charismatic Christian churches to alternative spiritual groups and Metaphysical Christian churches.  I have recounted this story on the page about the Author.  You can read more detail there.

What I Have Learned

I was following the promptings of the Spirit on my search for truth.  Here are a few things I discovered about the Bible along the way:

1. There were unscrupulous people trying to keep the Bible away from the masses so that they could control them. However, they did not actually change or remove things from the Bible. Their method to keep the Bible away from the masses was to refuse to allow anyone but priest to see or study the Bible.  They could not have removed the hidden mysteries that we are studying because they did not understand those truths.

2. Many people lost their lives for printing and distributing the Bible in the language of every day people.  There was a great battle for the privilege of personal Bible study.  The church did not want to lose control of the Bible and have people thinking for themselves.  Fortunately for us they did lose control.

Today we have easy access to the Bible. We can choose from a variety of translations and easily go back to the original text and determine if we agree with that particular translation of the Bible.  We are not stuck with only a literal interpretation of one version of the Bible.  We can study the meanings of particular scriptures and entire topics for ourselves. In addition, there are tons of commentaries we can read and discover how others have interpreted those scriptures.  It is an amazing time to be studying the Bible!

3. There are some mistranslations in the Bible. However, it is much less than you might think. The Hebrew people were extremely cautious about protecting the Word of God and for them that is actually what their scriptures were… God speaking directly to them.  No transcriber would dare make an error and they devised ways to ensure accuracy.  An example is that each letter on a line of scripture was counted so that errors in translations could be easily caught.

4. The Lamsa translation of the Bible from ancient eastern manuscripts is often heralded by Metaphysical Christians as proof of Bible mistranslations.  However, I do not find any differences in the main message of the Bible on Jesus, redemption, and what we are calling Bible Ascension.  There are some evidences of errors but in my opinion these are insignificant to the over all Bible message.  You can study this topic further but searching for George Lamsa.

By the way the ancient manuscripts that George Lamsa translated were untouched by the Nicene Council so the beliefs concerning the omission of certain occult topics do not seem to be supported in Dr Lamsa’s work.  Google George Lamsa to learn more.  The supposed effect of the Nicene Council on the Bible was a very important concern for me in my journey to accept the Bible as a foundation for my spiritual truths.

5. Many fundamental Christians are satisfied with a literal interpretation of Bible scriptures. Part of the reason for this is that they are seeing the Bible only through their human perspective. The Bible is a spiritual book and must be understood with spiritual eyes.  If we try to understand it without the Spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge we will end up with a very limited and natural interpretation of a spiritual message.   Pray the prayer Paul prayed in the first chapter of Ephesians so that you can be led of the Spirit and understand the hidden mysteries of the Bible.

6.  Often Metaphysical Christians reject Bible teachings because of their fear of omissions and mistranslations.  However, they still believe the Bible is sacred.  I believe this has led to an undue focus on symbolism in the Bible.  This is based on the idea that if the Bible is sacred and we can not trust the literal meaning, then we must look for the spiritual meaning in the symbolism of names, places etc in the Bible.  The idea is that truth can only be found in these hidden places.  Although I agree that there is much symbolism in the Bible and I appreciate those who uncover interesting gems from their searches, it is my opinion that the Bible mysteries are hidden in plain sight.

7. Here is the bottom line for me… The Bible is not a scientific or historical treatise. The Bible is a revelation of God’s will and plan for humanity now and in the ages to come. The Old Testament contains a history of a particular line of humanity that were destined to protect God’s Word (His Will, Plan, Promises, Law, Prophecies) given through prophets and the genetic code for the incarnation of the Christ.  These people were kept separate from the other folks living on the earth so that the message and the genetic code would not be contaminated by outside influences  until Christ was incarnated on the earth to complete his earthly mission.

The New Testament is an unveiling of the new species of Divine Beings and God’s plan for the ages to come.   The truth is there but it is hidden from the natural mind and must be discerned by the spiritual mind.  This is a spiritual document about spiritual truths concerning a new species of spiritual beings.

8. I have decided… and it is a decision, to based my teachings concerning Bible Ascension on the Bible.  For me so many of the understandings I have uncovered are right there on the written page. Sometimes I wonder why I did not see them before and why so many other folks who are frequent readers of the Bible do not see them!  I know part of it is my own spiritual growth and part of it is due to the times in which we live.  Greater and greater revelation knowledge of the supernatural realms are being revealed to us now.

So as I answer these questions I am going to refer to what I see in the Bible and not standard teachings of either the traditional Christian church or the Metaphysical/Alternative spiritual paths.  I have studied both and learned have learned so much.  However, Jesus told me to step on the path of Bible Ascension and lock the door behind me.  This requires that I depend upon and teach ideas that are supported by the word God as given through the Bible.

9. I promise to be honest. I promise to tell you what has been revealed to me and to tell you what I have yet to understand. As I told you in the last post… I do not have all the answers but God does.  And He has promised to reveal it to us if we seek the truth.  I believe that promise with all me heart.

10. You are not going to agree with everything I believe. But let us agree to disagree in love. I honor your God given right to choose what you believe. There will never be true peace among diverse groups of people unless we decide to respect our differences of opinions.  This is important to me.  I am so tired of people getting in a huff over someone disagreeing with them.

Trust the Spirit to guide your studies! That is the best anyone can do as we seek to find the Truth!

I wrote this post this morning because I realized that I will not have time to complete the audio I promised in my last post. I will be traveling much of this week.

Keep your eyes open the answers are coming soon!

Be Blessed,

Marty Dow

Salvation Questions

Friday, February 19th, 2010

My most recent post on salvation has generated many questions. I can not answer them all at once but I will answer them all in time.

Hot Topics

For those of us that have been “religiously wounded” by our early church experiences, the questions on the meaning and method of salvation and the reality of heaven and hell generates a lot of emotional responses. These concepts often draw a line demarcation  between the traditional christian and the metaphysical and/or alternative seeker. It sets up a litmus test of sorts that determines if you are “with us or against us.”

These questions are so foundational to our belief systems that many people feel that their view is completely correct and every other perspective is completely wrong.  Unfortunately, the strength of these responses can often cause us to step out of love and into separation, conflict and judgment.

In addition, especially for the religiously wounded seeker, pondering these questions can cause a great deal of confusion and fear. I know because that is how I often felt when trying to sort out the truth from all the things I once believed.

I Don’t Have All The Answers

I know that is an unusual statement to hear from a spiritual/Bible teacher but it is true. I still have a lot of unanswered questions about things I see in the Bible.

Fortunately, I am not feeling quite as confused as I used to feel when I was directed by God to return to the church and learn more about the Bible.  Those were very difficult times for me. I had so many conflicting ideas swirling around in my head that I sometimes felt my mind was going to explode!

I have said in the past that if you are looking for someone who claims to have all the answers you have come to the wrong teacher. I do not have all the answers in a neat little package to share with you.  Besides it is not really about what I believe to be true. It is more about what you believe and the process you go through to discover the truth for yourself.

Very smart people disagree on the meaning of Bible “Truths”.  Even people who attend the same church often have conflicting beliefs with fellow church members and the pastor.  No one has the whole truth. We are not there yet… but I believe that we live in a time when the Holy Spirit is revealing greater and greater truths to those who are ready to receive them.

The Truth As I Understand It

On this blog, I am sharing the revelations I have received about Jesus, the new birth and the hidden mysteries of the Bible which I call Bible Ascension. It is the truth as I have come to understand it.

I hold these truths with an open hand awaiting the Lord to reveal even greater revelations to me. I have learned that if I hold on to previous ideas and beliefs too tightly, I will either miss a new and deeper understanding or God will have to blow the old one out of my hand in order for me to receive the new.  I can honestly report to you that the second alternative is no fun at all!

Take what I share with you on this site and use it to evaluate what you think you know and believe.

Study the Bible with an open mind looking for new and deeper revelations of what God’s plan is for you and for the ages to come.

Pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge to reveal these hidden mysteries to you.

Trust that God wants you to know the truth and that the Holy Spirit is guiding you right now.

Know that God loves you and wants to bless you with every good and perfect thing.

Believe that the truth is available to you and that it is the Spirit within that reveals it to you.

Measure what you once believed, what you hear from me and/or other teachers, and what you read in the Bible by the still small voice of God speaking in your heart.

A Suggested Technique

Before I go I want to give you one technique that helped me when I felt so confused as I worked through some of the old beliefs I learned at as child.

During those times I would make a list of what I KNEW to be true. Then I would stand on those beliefs until I gained more clarity and my confusion past. The list became to me a place of mental safety and peace in the eye of the storm.

Here are a few of the foundational beliefs found on my lists:

God is love.

God’s mercies endure forever and ever.

God does not want me to be afraid.

It is God’s will for all to be saved.

Give this technique a try when you are working through conflicting beliefs and feel confused.

An Upcoming Audio Clip

I am planning to create an audio clip around the questions sent to me on heaven, hell, salvation, and the Spirit.  Hopefully, I will have it up by next week.

I enjoy your questions and comments. Keep them coming.

Be blessed,

Marty Dow

My Journey to Bible Ascension

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

Yesterday I received a comment from a reader that I wanted to share on the site. The question and the answer might be of benefit to others. The reader wanted more specifics on my spiritual journey.  Here is the question and my answer….

Here is what the reader wrote:

You’re website is very interesting.  I’d be curious to hear some of the specifics of your travels in alternative spirit circles and the relation you found with Christ and the Bible.  Do you discuss these specifics anywhere?

My answer:

I am not sure exactly what you are asking me… It sounds like you want to know the relationship of specific alternative paths that I might have explored with Christ and the Bible.  I am not sure of the emphasis here.

Are you more curious about what specific paths I explored on my journeys or are you more interested in how particular paths relate to Christ and the Bible?

Let me give you a general answer and maybe something more specific when I hear back from you.

My Approach To Seeking God Was Eclectic

I have always been very eclectic in my approach to spiritual questions. Well not always… As I mentioned in my introduction and on the about the author pages, I grew up in a very traditional Southern Baptist Church. So I began my journey in a very closed environment.  I have always been an avid reader and I became introduced to other ideas about God through reading, often to the dismay of my parents.  My exploration broadened when I went to college and began to live on my own free to make my own decisions.

Alternative Paths I Have Studied

I have studied many ideas, through reading and conversations with other folks but I am not an expert in any particular area.  My most intense focus has been in New Thought Christianity, just as Unity, Science of Mind. Also I have studied and read teachings on the Ascended Masters such as the Teachings of the Masters of the Far East, The I AM materials, and the teachings of the Theosophical Society.  Most of these paths have some emphasis on Jesus and the understanding of a Cosmic Christ.  I would broadly categorize these teachings as metaphysical and some of them as metaphysical Christianity.  But I am not a scholar and I am sure a scholar in any of these areas when argue with me about such a broad category.

Where I Studied The Bible

On the other hand I am also NOT a Bible scholar.  I have never gone to a Bible College.  I have certainly studied the Bible and read many different ideas about what the Bible means.   I have studied Bible ideas with traditional Christians, Charismatic Christians, Faith Christians, Metaphysical Christians and what I call New Age Christians.  These are those who are actively involved in New Age beliefs but also love Jesus and see him as a very important teacher/guide but not a savior.

My Limited Experience With Eastern Religions

I imagine from your name that you might be interested in Eastern philosophies.  I have read Yoganada and practiced some Hatha Yoga.  It was while considering joining an ashram that Jesus came to me in a dream.  I describe this dream in detail on the Bible Ascension site.   But my understanding is very limited in these areas of religious studies.

I know some about Buddhism… very little about Hindu… almost nothing about Islam.

The Spirit Guided My Studies

As you can read on the Bible Ascension blog, my path was led by divine guidance. I would study with one group for months or years and then wake up one morning with instructions to move on to another group.  Sometimes over my loud and arduous objections but I followed this guidance as best I could out of love and commitment to God. I did not know the “Truth” but I trusted the inner voice that was directing my studies.  I often felt isolated and alone on my path because people would misunderstand my leaving their group as a rejection of them and/or their beliefs. Nevertheless, I followed what I understood to be the direction of God for me.

Well there is a general description of the multiple alternative paths I have explored.  In summary, I must say that I am NOT an expert in any one of them. I have learned many things on my journeys. Sometimes it felt as if I was studying with these groups or a particular author to glean one very specific piece of information.  At other times it felt that I was there to see correlation between those ideas and ideas taught in the Bible.

My Purpose Is Revealed

I often wondered if part of my purpose/mission was to teach about the differences and similarities between the different paths but that was not to be.  I am actually not knowledgeable in any one path to teach the intricacies of that path.  But as I have come to discover that was not God’s plan for me.

After many years of constant search and exploration, I awoke one morning to a new instruction.  I was to step on the path of Bible Ascension and lock the door behind me. I would never step off of this path. I would never need to study any other path again. The path of believing the Gospel of Glory as told in the Bible was my path to the Ascension.  That day I stepped onto this path, closed and locked the door behind, and I have never looked back. I know this is my path and sharing this message with others is my mission. I am so thankful because I know that I am home!

The Message I Was Commissioned To Share

So what is my message…

I am a disciple of Jesus the Incarnation of the Cosmic Christ. I am commissioned to share the story of the Gospel of Glory, which I call Bible Ascension, with those who are on alternative spiritual paths.  I have been told that there are many seekers on these alternative paths that belong to Jesus. They have been religiously wounded in the past but have never lost the deep connection to Christ. They are still looking for their answers and have not yet found them.  The Spirit told me that they would recognize the truth when they heard it. My job is to simply share the mysteries of this Gospel of Glory that are hidden in plain sight in the Bible with all who are attracted to my voice, my language, and to the message that I share.

It does not matter to me if it is one person or 10,000.  My job is to explain the hidden truths of Bible Ascension to all those that are willing to hear these truths in the language and style that was given to me. The Lord of Glory will call those who are meant to hear this message and direct them to my message/ministry when they are ready. The Lord of Glory will open their hears so that they can hear and understand.

I am certain that my message, my voice, my language is not for everyone.  The Spirit told me that only those who resonate to my vibration would be attracted to this ministry. He told me that he had other messengers to share the message with those who are of a different vibrations.  The message is the same.  “The same Lord… the same Spirit… the same Gospel.”  It is the style, language and focus that is unique to each group.

As disciples of Christ, we are never going to agree on everything. However, we must all learn to walk in love and respect obeying the Master’s command of love.

People come to Jesus from many different perspectives and levels of awareness.  My ministry and message is just one of those doorways.

I hope this was helpful to you.

In His Glory,

The Gospel of Glory

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Welcome!

Today I would like to share with you more information on the Gospel of Glory… the birth of a new species of Divine Beings filled with the Glory of God, walking the earth as supernatural beings, doing the works of Christ.

I begin this Bible study in the book of Colossians.  In this recording, we will discuss how the process of faith used to manifest the Glory of God is no different than that used to enhance your human life. It is the power of your human consciousness connected with the power of the Gospel of Glory, combined with the spiritual force of faith that brings this new reality into your life.

Listen in as I share these truths with you!

Eternal Life in Christ Jesus… What does it mean?

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Today we will review the meaning of eternal life in Christ Jesus as it is taught in the Bible and reflected in the Odes of Solomon.

Happy New Year To ALL Bible Ascension Students!

My goal is to make 2010 the best year ever as we study and implement the Will of God in our lives.

I believe with all my heart that God’s will for us is to manifest the Glory of God in and through our spirit, soul and body, as we demonstrate the supernatural power of God upon the earth… the definition of Bible Ascension. This is the result of being born again by faith into this new species of Divine Beings.

Abundant Life In Christ!

The Bible states that Jesus came to earth to bring us life and more abundant life. In John 6, Jesus states that he is the Bread of Life that came down from heaven to give life to the world.

“I am the Bread of Life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven that one may eat of it and not die.

I am the Living Bread which came down from heaven.  If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

John 6: 48-51

“This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

John 6:58

When the Jews asked Jesus what they should do that they might work the works of God, Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God that you believe in Him whom He sent.”  John 6:28-29

Why were they so interested in knowing how to work the works of God? Because they had just seen Jesus feed the multitude from only 5 barley loaves and two small fish!

Understanding Eternal Life

The Bible is filled with references to eternal life and the promise of doing the miraculous works that Jesus did and even greater.

These promises are not just about heaven and hell. They are offering humanity so much more! The mysteries of the new birth have been hidden in plain sight.

Most traditional Bible students have not been able to see past what their human consciousness could understand.  They fastened on to the concept of heaven and hell because they misunderstand the meaning of eternal life.  Their minds could only understand the concept of chronological time.  They mistook the word eternal as meaning a never ending life. And obviously if you are going to live forever you must have someone to live after you die.

Eternal life is a never ending life… a deathless life. But it is so much more than where you reside after you die.  To me the Bible is very clear about the depth and width of this new life in Christ. But unless you have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge it is easy to get caught up in the traditional teachings of Christianity.

When many of his followers left him because they did not understand how they could eat his flesh and drink his blood, Jesus explained the confusion and fear of these followers in this way…

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe…. Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

John 6: 63-65

On the last night Jesus would be with His disciples before his death, he explained the true meaning of eternal life to them. Notice the reference once again to the fact that those to whom he gives eternal life are only as many as God has given to him.

“Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that your Son also may glorify You, as you have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

John 17: 1-3

So what is eternal life? Eternal Life is that we may know God and Jesus Christ whom God sent to earth on a very important mission. This mission was to give life to the world… the Divine Life. This is very life and knowledge of God and of Jesus, the first born of many.

And all who believe in this promise, apply their faith to the promise will be born into this new kingdom… born of God, born of the Spirit of God and of Christ.

This is a new birth. It is not achieved through an evolution of consciousness although we will have the mind of Christ in this new birth. It is a spiritual birth that comes through faith. Faith in the promise. Faith in the Word. Faith in the gift of God through Christ Jesus and his redemptive work.  You can not earn it. You can not simply grow into it. It is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ!

Eternal Life Described in the Odes of Solomon

Here are a few verses from the Odes of Solomon that reflect Solomon of the Odes experiences with the concept of eternal life and the Will of God.

Ode 9

2. The word of the Lord and His good pleasures, the holy thought which He devised concerning His Messiah.

3. For in the will of the Lord is your salvation, and His thought is everlasting life; and your end is immortality.

4. Be enriched in God the Father, and receive the thought of the Most High.

5.  Be strong and be redeemed by His Grace.

Ode 10

1.  The Lord hath directed my mouth by His word: and He has opened my heart by His light: and He has caused to dwell in me His deathless life.

Ode 15

8.  I have put on incorruption through His name: and have put off corruption by His Grace.

9.  Death has been destroyed before my face: and Sheol (the place of death) has been abolished by my word:

10.  And there has gone up deathless life in the Lord’s land,

11.  And it has been made known to His faithful ones, and it has been given without stint to all those that trust in Him. Hallelujah

Ode 17

1.  I was crowned by my God: my crown is living:

2. And I was justified in my Lord: my incorruptible salvation is He.

3.  I was loosed from vanity, and I was not condemned:

4.  The choking bonds were cut off by her hands: I received the face and fashion of a new person: and I walked in it and was saved.

Ode 25

8.  And I was clothed with the covering of Your Spirit, and You removed  from me my raiment of skin:

9.  For Your right hand lifted me up and removed sickness from me.

10. I became mighty in truth, and holy by Your righteousness and all my adversaries were afraid of me.

11.  And I became admirable by the name of the Lord, and was justified by His gentleness, and His rest is for ever and ever. Hallelujah.

Ode 28

4. I believed; therefore I was at rest; for faithful is He in whom I have believed.

5.  He has richly blessed me and my head is with Him and the sword shall not divide me from Him, nor the scimitar;

6. For I am ready before the destruction comes; and I have been set on His immortal pinions;

7. And He showed me His sign; forth and given me to drink and from that life is the spirit within me and it cannot die for it lives.

There are many more references in the Odes of Solomon to the deathless life and salvation through faith in the Lord.  Look for them in your copy of the Odes of Solomon.

Have a great day and be blessed!

Why Haven’t I Ever Heard Of Bible Ascension?

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

The ascension message is hidden in the Bible. Like most Bible mysteries, understanding Bible ascension requires revelation knowledge. God is revealing these truths at this time because it is time for this new species to manifest the life that Jesus promised to His believers and to do it as a witness to the Divine Will at this time.

Revelation knowledge is progressive. The mystery of “salvation” has been unfolding to the Church through out the ages. Many Christian ministries still believe that the ultimate purpose of salvation is to escape hell and get a ticket to heaven. Salvation is so much more than that! It includes health, prosperity, protection, joy, and the overcoming of mortality.

The Bible states that the last enemy is physical death!

I have been commissioned by God to teach this truth in a language that those on the metaphysical or alternative spiritual paths can understand. Many spiritual seekers on these alternative paths have been called by God to be part of the Bible Ascension process. They resonate to the truths taught in this Bible study. They have always known that Jesus was an important part of their spiritual path but the teachings of the Bible, as they learned in a traditional church, did not make sense to them. With a new understanding of some of the key Bible terms, they are ready to undertake the path to Bible Ascension with joy, power and love.

If you are one of those who resonate to these teachings, I celebrate your awakening to the truth of Bible Ascension. Join me and the many others called by God to this path on the greatest adventure of your life!

What Is Bible Ascension?

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

The term ascension is not used in the Bible. However, many Christians use this term for the time that Jesus ascended up into heaven and was received into the clouds as the disciples watched. You can read this account in Acts 1: 1-11. Jesus also used the word ascend when he described his return to the Father. (John 6:62, John 20:17).

The Birth of The Glorified Ones

A more accurate term for Bible Ascension as discussed in this Bible study is the birth into light or the manifestation of the Glorified Ones. The Glorified Ones are members of the new species of beings that are being birth on the earth at this time. These are supernatural beings of light that walk the earth in the power of the Holy Spirit performing miracles and continuing the work of Jesus. And as the Lord promised, they look and act just like Jesus did while he was on the earth. They are filled with the Glory of God and this Glory manifests itself from the inside out. They are born into the Kingdom of Heaven through faith and not by natural means. This is a spiritual birth into the realms of light that Jesus proclaimed while he was on earth.

This new birth is not primarily about heaven and hell as many traditional denominations believe. It is about manifesting the fullness of God’s Spirit in our physical forms right here on earth. (Ephesians 3:19) It is about being transformed from glory to glory until we take on the image of Christ. (2 Cor 3:18)

You will not find the term the Glorified Ones in the Bible. I chose to use that term because I think it more accurately describes this new species that is birthed by faith in the ministry work of Jesus, the incarnation of the Cosmic Christ. (The Cosmic Christ is a familiar term to the metaphysical Christian) The goal of this new birth is to create a new species of beings that house the glory of God in their physical forms and are ultimately transformed into the image of Christ. The Bible says that those born by faith into this new kingdom are the Temples of God on the earth. (2 Cor 6:16) It calls believers of Christ a royal priesthood. (I Peter 2:9) It also describes those born into light as being the body of Christ which is another way to say that we are the Temple of God.

The Glory of God

The glory of God is the power and presence of God. The Bible is a story of God’s glory manifesting on earth. It starts with God crowning his new creation, Adam, (In Hebrew the word Adam means blood which will prove to be very important in the Bible story) with his glory. Adam and Eve fall from the glory after choosing to eat from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the entrance into duality and mortality). This condition of having “fallen from the glory of God” will follow their descendents throughout the Bible story. (Romans 3:23)

God spends much of the Old Testament looking for a group of people that will believe in Him, obey His voice and be His people. One of the mandates given to both Moses and Solomon is to build a dwelling place for God’s glory on earth. In both stories, the building of the Tabernacle in the desert and the building of the Temple in Jerusalem, God’s glory so filled these sacred structures at their initial opening that no one else could enter.

God’s glory is so powerful that rules were created to protect “fallen mankind” from being killed in the presence of God’s glory. The high priest was only allowed to enter the Holy of Holies, where the glory of God dwelt, once a year. A piece of rope was tied to his feet in case he died during his priestly duties in the Holy of Holies. His life was in danger before the Presence of God if he had hidden sin (karmic energy) that had not been forgiven. If he died in the Holy of Holies the other priest would pull him out with this rope because it was not safe for them to enter into God’s presence.

People were not allowed to touch the Ark of the Covenant for fear of sudden death. The Ark was carried on poles to protect those that were responsible for moving it as the Hebrew people crossed the desert looking for the promise land. The Bible tells the story of one man who died after touching the Ark while trying to stop the Ark from falling during its move into Jerusalem.

The Restoration of Fallen Humanity

Jesus came to restore the condition of immortality to fallen humanity. He is described as the first born of many. He is the beginning of a whole new species which are designed to house the Glory of God in their bodies. They are crowned with the Glory of God and anointed with the Spirit of God. They walk in the supernatural power of God overcoming anything that “exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ.” (Anything manifested on the earth that is less than God’s perfect plan for humanity.)

This birth into light is by faith in the works of Jesus. We are born into Christ. We take on the Glory of Christ, the life of Christ, the power of Christ. It is not about the evolution of the race as we have been taught by many. It is not about us or our ability. It is all about Christ and what he did to make this birth possible. We are born into the Kingdom of Heaven (the kingdom of this new species) by the grace of God.

The ascension has been taught by many spiritual teachers. What makes the study of Bible Ascension unique is that we focus our studies ONLY on the pattern of Ascension as taught in the Bible and demonstrated through the ministry of Jesus.

One must choose where he/she will focus his/her attention as one journeys on a spiritual path. There is so much information available but not all of it is beneficial to a particular person at a particular junction on the path. I have chosen to follow the teachings of Jesus as it is revealed in the Bible. I chose this path because I was called to it years ago. This may not be the path for you. You and only you can decide what teachings you will follow.

I encourage you to choose well because what you believe really does matter!

Be Blessed,

Marty Dow
