Revelation Knowledge Will Set You Free!

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

Jesus once said that if you know the Truth… the Truth will set you free.  However it is impossible to know the Truth of God’s plan for us unless it is revealed to us by His Spirit.

And why do we need this knowledge?

“That you maybe filled up to the measure of ALL the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:19

The core Bible Ascension message is all about manifesting the fullness of ALL the blessing in form. Manifesting in your physical world – this dimension ALL that Jesus died to make available to us. This is limited only by your ability to believe. Your ability to believe is limited by your level of revelation knowledge.

The truth must be revealed to you by the Spirit through the word preached by someone… via written message, video, audio, or in person..  The truth must then be received, believed, and acted upon by each individual.

The TRUTH is huge. It is so big… It  may be bigger than anyone has yet realized. But it remains a spiritual fact that the individual person can never manifest more of the TRUTH than they have received as TRUTH and believed it with their heart and confessed it with their mouth.

If you haven’t heard the message you can not know this truth.  If you don’t know this truth you cannot believe it and therefore you can not demonstrate it in your life.

Listen to what Solomon of the Odes has to say about the process and power of revelation knowledge:

Odes of Solomon

Ode 9: 8-1

8. An everlasting crown for ever is Truth. Blessed are they who set it on their heads:
9. A stone of great price is it: and there have been wars on account of the crown.
10. And righteousness hath taken it and hath given it to you.
11. Put on the crown in the true covenant of the Lord.
12. And all those who have conquered shall be written in His book.
13. For their book is victory which is yours. And she (Victory) sees you before her and wills that you shall be saved. Hallelujah.

Solomon of the Odes speaks of this crown of truth as a living crown in Ode 1

1.  The Lord is on my head like a crown, and I shall not be without Him.
2.  They wove for me a crown of truth, and it caused Your branches to bud in me.
3.  For it is not like a withered crown which does not bud: but You live upon my head, and You have blossomed upon my head.
4.  Your fruits are full-grown and perfect, they are full of Your salvation

Here you can see that the crown of truth placed upon your head… or in your understanding will bring forth the fruit of salvation.  You might say that because the truth was revealed to Solomon of the Odes, he was able to experience and express the full grown fruit of Bible Ascension… overcoming physical death and demonstrating all the Jesus died to give us.

In Ephesians 1: 16-23, Paul is praying that God will give us this spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge that we can know and understand what this salvation is all about and who Jesus really is.

Listen to his prayer for you, a believer:

“I constantly make mention of you in my prayers — that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Father of Glory, might give to you a Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the sphere of a full knowledge of Him,

The eyes of your heart being in an enlightened state with a view to your knowing what is the hope of His calling, what is the wealth of the Glory of His inheritance in the Saints and what is the super abounding greatness of His inherent power to us who are believing ones as measured by the operative energy of the manifested strength of His might, which might was operative in the Christ when He raised Him from among the dead and

Seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, over and above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name that is constantly being named, not only in this age, but also in the one about to come.

And all things He put in subjection under His feet, and Him He gave as Head over all things to the Church, which is of such a nature as to be His body, the fullness of the One who constantly is filling all things with all things.”  (From Wuest’s Expanded Translation of The Greek New Testament)

I recommend that you pray the above prayer for yourself every day.  Revelation knowledge is the key to manifesting Bible Ascension in your life.

Be blessed,

Marty Dow

The Love of God is so Great… It Had To Be Shared With The World

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Hello Everyone,

My trip to Maine is almost over. It has been wonderful. The majesty of God can be seen everyday in the beauty of this coast.

We will begin our journey home this Saturday.

This morning I was reading the Odes of Solomon and I wanted to share with you some of my insights into Ode 19. I will begin by publishing it for you.

Ode 19

  1. A cup of milk was offered to me: and I drank it in the sweetness of the delight of the Lord.
  2. The Son is the cup, and He who was milked is the Father:
  3. And the Holy Spirit milked Him: because His breasts were full, and it was necessary for Him that His milk should be sufficiently released;
  4. And the Holy Spirit opened His bosom and mingled the milk from the two breasts of the Father; and gave the mixture to the world without their knowing:
  5. And they who received in its fullness are the ones on the right hand.
  6. The Spirit opened the womb of the Virgin and she received conception and brought forth; and the Virgin became a Mother with many mercies;
  7. And she travailed and brought forth a Son, without incurring pain;
  8. And because she was not sufficiently prepared, and she had not sought a midwife (for He brought her to bear) she brought forth as if she were a man, of her own will;
  9. And she brought Him forth openly, and carried Him with great dignity,
  10. And loved Him in His swaddling clothes and guarded Him kindly, and showed Him in Majesty. Hallelujah.

This is a very beautiful Ode and full of great wisdom on the Love of God.

Read it over again and let the hidden mysteries unfold in your spirit.

The Love of God

In John 3:16-17 it says,

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  Fo God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

For God so loved the world…

Ode 19 speaks of a cup of milk that was offered to him and that he drank in the delight of the Lord.  This milk is the life of God, Eternal Life… the Ascension.  The Son is the cup and He who was milked is the Father.

Jesus came to bring us this Life… this freedom from the human condition so that we could be born into His Kingdom which is the Kingdom of Light.  This great freedom is about more than heaven and hell.  This new Life is about living through grace in the realms of Light.  It is about supernatural life being expressed here on the earth.

Verse 3 tells us that the Holy Spirit milked the Father because His breasts were so full. Full of what… love for the world.  “God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son.”

Most of us have had an experience of love that is akin to the above experience. It was certainly not about the whole world but it was an overwhelming feeling of love for a person, maybe your child, that was so full it had to be released.

The Light Came Into The World

The Bible tells us that the Light came into the world and the world did not know it.  This is reflected in verse 4.  The Light of our salvation or freedom from the bondage of the natural world, carnal world or limitation of the human condition.

Don’t get caught up in old religious beliefs.  This is not what you learned in Sunday School.  It is far greater than what most people understand.  This is about being birthed into Divinity.

Jesus was the only begotten of God.  But he is also the first born of many.  We are to be translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Divine Light. We are born again not as a “better human” but as a Divine Being able to do all the things that Jesus demonstrated while on earth.

How To Acquire A Body Of Light

Look now at Ode 21

Ode 21

  1. My arms I lifted up to the Most High, even to the grace of the Lord: because He had cast off my bonds from me: and my Helper had lifted me up to His grace and to His salvation:
  2. An I put off darkness and clothed myself with light,
  3. And my soul acquired a body free from sorrow or affliction or pains.
  4. And increasingly helpful to me was the thought of the Lord, and His fellowship in incorruption:
  5. And I was lifted up in His light; and I served before Him,
  6. And I became near to Him, praising and confessing Him;
  7. My heart ran over and was found in my mouth: and it arose upon my lips; and the exultation of the Lord increased on my face, and His praise likewise. Hallelujah.

It is ALL About God and What He Has Already Done For Us

Notice that is verse 1 Solomon of the Odes makes a reference to the fact that it is the Lord that has cast off his bonds and the Helper, which is the Holy Spirit (or I AM Presence) has lifted him up to His grace and His salvation.

It is God who has done the work of setting us free.  The karma has been paid. The bondage broken. Everything we need for the abundant life has already been created.

The Bible states that salvation is through grace and not works.  You can not do enough to separate yourself from the human condition.  You can learn to improve your life in the human condition. But to step into Divinity… Bible Ascension, you must depend totally on the finished works of the Great I AM!

You Must Reach Out In Faith To Access ALL the Blessings!

In verse 2, Solomon of the Odes tells us what is our part to do.

“And I put off darkenss and clothed myself with light.”

We have to do the work of pushing away the old way of being and attracting to ourselves the new way. We have to stop thinking the natural thoughts and start thinking like God thinks.  We have to use our faith to hang on to the promise of an abundant life even in the midst of the greatest darkness we have ever experienced.  We must KNOW that what we have asked for in faith is already ours… even if we can not see it yet.

In verse 4 Solomon of the Odes declares that, “Increasingly helpful to me was the thought of the Lord, and His fellowship in incorruption.”   This statement is in line with the Biblical teaching of being spiritually minded.

“For to be carnally minded (naturally minded, worldly minded, thinking as a human being stuck in the human condition) is death, but to be spiritually minded is life (eternal life, the life of God in you) and peace (nothing missing, nothing broken).

Spend your time thinking about heavenly things which includes the Divine Life that God has designed for you.  See the answers to your problems not the problems themselves.  Focus on the Promises of God not the difficult situations you may be experiencing. Don’t think about poverty, sickness or death; instead think about abundance, health, love, life and living in the supernatural realms.

Even though Love has made the way, you must choose to focus your attention and thoughts on the solutions God has promised. No one can control your thoughts for you. No one can decide what you will believe.  This you must do!

I encourage you to read the Odes of Solomon often. Meditate on the words of this sacred scripture. Let the truth it reveals transform your consciousness and allow the Light of Christ to shine through you.

Be blessed,

Marty Dow

Eternal Life in Christ Jesus… What does it mean?

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Today we will review the meaning of eternal life in Christ Jesus as it is taught in the Bible and reflected in the Odes of Solomon.

Happy New Year To ALL Bible Ascension Students!

My goal is to make 2010 the best year ever as we study and implement the Will of God in our lives.

I believe with all my heart that God’s will for us is to manifest the Glory of God in and through our spirit, soul and body, as we demonstrate the supernatural power of God upon the earth… the definition of Bible Ascension. This is the result of being born again by faith into this new species of Divine Beings.

Abundant Life In Christ!

The Bible states that Jesus came to earth to bring us life and more abundant life. In John 6, Jesus states that he is the Bread of Life that came down from heaven to give life to the world.

“I am the Bread of Life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven that one may eat of it and not die.

I am the Living Bread which came down from heaven.  If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

John 6: 48-51

“This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

John 6:58

When the Jews asked Jesus what they should do that they might work the works of God, Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God that you believe in Him whom He sent.”  John 6:28-29

Why were they so interested in knowing how to work the works of God? Because they had just seen Jesus feed the multitude from only 5 barley loaves and two small fish!

Understanding Eternal Life

The Bible is filled with references to eternal life and the promise of doing the miraculous works that Jesus did and even greater.

These promises are not just about heaven and hell. They are offering humanity so much more! The mysteries of the new birth have been hidden in plain sight.

Most traditional Bible students have not been able to see past what their human consciousness could understand.  They fastened on to the concept of heaven and hell because they misunderstand the meaning of eternal life.  Their minds could only understand the concept of chronological time.  They mistook the word eternal as meaning a never ending life. And obviously if you are going to live forever you must have someone to live after you die.

Eternal life is a never ending life… a deathless life. But it is so much more than where you reside after you die.  To me the Bible is very clear about the depth and width of this new life in Christ. But unless you have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge it is easy to get caught up in the traditional teachings of Christianity.

When many of his followers left him because they did not understand how they could eat his flesh and drink his blood, Jesus explained the confusion and fear of these followers in this way…

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe…. Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

John 6: 63-65

On the last night Jesus would be with His disciples before his death, he explained the true meaning of eternal life to them. Notice the reference once again to the fact that those to whom he gives eternal life are only as many as God has given to him.

“Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that your Son also may glorify You, as you have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

John 17: 1-3

So what is eternal life? Eternal Life is that we may know God and Jesus Christ whom God sent to earth on a very important mission. This mission was to give life to the world… the Divine Life. This is very life and knowledge of God and of Jesus, the first born of many.

And all who believe in this promise, apply their faith to the promise will be born into this new kingdom… born of God, born of the Spirit of God and of Christ.

This is a new birth. It is not achieved through an evolution of consciousness although we will have the mind of Christ in this new birth. It is a spiritual birth that comes through faith. Faith in the promise. Faith in the Word. Faith in the gift of God through Christ Jesus and his redemptive work.  You can not earn it. You can not simply grow into it. It is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ!

Eternal Life Described in the Odes of Solomon

Here are a few verses from the Odes of Solomon that reflect Solomon of the Odes experiences with the concept of eternal life and the Will of God.

Ode 9

2. The word of the Lord and His good pleasures, the holy thought which He devised concerning His Messiah.

3. For in the will of the Lord is your salvation, and His thought is everlasting life; and your end is immortality.

4. Be enriched in God the Father, and receive the thought of the Most High.

5.  Be strong and be redeemed by His Grace.

Ode 10

1.  The Lord hath directed my mouth by His word: and He has opened my heart by His light: and He has caused to dwell in me His deathless life.

Ode 15

8.  I have put on incorruption through His name: and have put off corruption by His Grace.

9.  Death has been destroyed before my face: and Sheol (the place of death) has been abolished by my word:

10.  And there has gone up deathless life in the Lord’s land,

11.  And it has been made known to His faithful ones, and it has been given without stint to all those that trust in Him. Hallelujah

Ode 17

1.  I was crowned by my God: my crown is living:

2. And I was justified in my Lord: my incorruptible salvation is He.

3.  I was loosed from vanity, and I was not condemned:

4.  The choking bonds were cut off by her hands: I received the face and fashion of a new person: and I walked in it and was saved.

Ode 25

8.  And I was clothed with the covering of Your Spirit, and You removed  from me my raiment of skin:

9.  For Your right hand lifted me up and removed sickness from me.

10. I became mighty in truth, and holy by Your righteousness and all my adversaries were afraid of me.

11.  And I became admirable by the name of the Lord, and was justified by His gentleness, and His rest is for ever and ever. Hallelujah.

Ode 28

4. I believed; therefore I was at rest; for faithful is He in whom I have believed.

5.  He has richly blessed me and my head is with Him and the sword shall not divide me from Him, nor the scimitar;

6. For I am ready before the destruction comes; and I have been set on His immortal pinions;

7. And He showed me His sign; forth and given me to drink and from that life is the spirit within me and it cannot die for it lives.

There are many more references in the Odes of Solomon to the deathless life and salvation through faith in the Lord.  Look for them in your copy of the Odes of Solomon.

Have a great day and be blessed!

Odes of Solomon, Bible Ascension, And Jesus Christ

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

The Odes of Solomon Reveal That Bible Ascension Is Achieved Through Jesus Christ

One of the truths that becomes self evident in the study of the Odes of Solomon is that salvation (Bible Ascension—Birth into the Light) comes through Jesus Christ.  Although Solomon of the Odes does not use the name of Jesus or even the Christ, we can find many references in the Odes that indicate Jesus is the Lord to which he often refers.

In Ode 20 verses 6-10, the birth of Jesus is described in detail. In many of the Odes, Solomon of the Odes refers to his Lord as the Messiah. (Ode 9 verse 2).  He often speaks of God as the Father, the Lord as the Son and the gift of the Holy Spirit… definitely Christian terms.

In Ode 27, he refers to the cross as a sign of his Lord.  Again in Ode 42, he makes this reference to the stretching out of his hands (cross) as a sign of his Lord. But in this Ode he also recounts the experiences of Jesus in the grave and His resurrection.

There is no doubt in my mind that Solomon of the Odes was a disciple of Jesus the Christ. His path into Bible Ascension was through the path of Jesus and His redemptive ministry.

Jesus is the Incarnation of The Cosmic Christ

Jesus is the incarnation of the Cosmic Christ (a term metaphysical studies understand and embrace). I do not believe that we can separate Jesus from the Christ or the Christ from Jesus.

Jesus was not a man, like us, evolving into a higher state of being as many in the metaphysical field teach. Jesus is the incarnation of the Christ who manifested into a human form to bring life, the Divine Life, to a lost world… one that is separated from God in consciousness and subjected to the human condition of struggle and death.

It is though a uniting with Jesus, the incarnation of the Cosmic Christ, that we are birthed into this new kingdom. It is through the infilling of the Holy Spirit that we become part of His body, manifesting His Spirit on the earth.

The Great Exchange Is Key To Understanding The Process of Bible Ascension

This is the essence of the concept of the “Great Exchange”. The Great Exchange states that Jesus became like us so that we can become like Him. The scriptures are filled with references to this concept. This idea is the key to understanding how Bible Ascension is possible for every human being on earth.

Achieving Bible Ascension is not an evolutionary process as some teach. It is a birth, a birth into Light which is the Light of Christ. This birth comes through faith in the promise of eternal life.  Remember, eternal life is not chronological time, as taught in the traditional views of heaven and hell after death, but the very life of God implanted in us as we believe the gospel message as taught by Jesus, predicted by the prophets, and repeated by the disciples/ambassadors of this new life. Eternal Life is a birth into a new species of beings on the earth, Divine Beings of Light that live a supernatural life. This is the life that Jesus demonstrated on the earth and proclaimed that all who believe in Him would be able to do the same.

Examples Of The Great Exchange In The Odes of Solomon

Let’s look at some examples of how the idea that Bible Ascension comes through a union with Christ is expressed in the Odes of Solomon.

Ode 3:8-13

8. I have been united to Him, for the Lover has found the Beloved.

9. And because I shall love Him that is the Son, I shall become a son.

10. For he that is joined to Him that is immortal will also himself become immortal;

11. And he who has pleasure in the Living One, will become living.

12. This is the Spirit of the Lord, which does not lie, which teaches the sons of men to know His ways.

13. Be wise and understanding and be vigilant. Hallelujah.

Ode 7:5-8

5.  He became like me in order that I might receive Him.

6. He was reckoned like myself in order that I might put Him on.

7. And I trembled not when I saw Him because He was gracious to me.

8. Like my nature He became that I might learn Him and like my form, that I might not turn back from Him.

There is much more to share on these topics but I think this is enough to digest for now. We will talk more about this in a later post.

Have a great day and be blessed!

A Meditation From The Odes Of Solomon: Ode 36

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Greetings from Maine!

I am visiting Maine for the month of July. It is so beautiful here on the coast. Jeff and I rented a house in Prospect Harbor, for those familiar with Maine.

This morning while meditating on the new birth into light, I felt compelled to record a meditation for you. Unfortunately, I do not have the best recording equipment with me.  So, the following audio clip does not have the same quality of those I do from my home studio. However, the Spirit was flowing and I think you will feel it as you listen in.

But before you do that let me introduce you to Ode 36.

Ode 36

1. I rested in the Spirit of the Lord: and the Spirit raised me on high:

2. And made me stand on my feet in the height of the Lord, before His perfection and His glory, while I was praising Him by the composition of His songs.

3. The Spirit brought me forth before the face of the Lord: and, although a son of man, I was named the Illuminate, the Son of God:

4. While I praised amongst the praising ones, and great was I amongst the mighty ones.

5. For according to the greatness of the Most High, so He made me: and like His own newness He renewed me; and He anointed me from His own perfection:

6. And I became one of His Neighbors; and my mouth was opened, like a cloud of dew;

7. And my heart poured out as it were a gushing stream of righteousness,

8. And my access to Him was in peace; and I was established by the Spirit of His government. Hallelujah.

This is a beautiful ode that describes one of many heavenly experiences of Solomon of the Odes.

One of the most potent ways to use the Odes of Solomon on the path of Bible Ascension is to meditate on these heavenly experiences as if they were your own. Filling your consciousness with images of transformative experiences will help you create new stories in your mind and therefore produce new stories of your life.

As you listen to the following audio clip, allow the experiences of Solomon of the Odes to aid in your ascension by imagining that these experiences are happening to you.

Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for 15 minutes or so. Turn up your speakers and click on the arrow to the left of the title of this clip. You can also download this audio by right clicking the title and saving the link to your hard drive.

Enjoy!

Audio Clip

This audio meditation is approximately 12 minutes.

Odes of Solomon Revealed — Ode 1

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Solomon of the Odes — the name I have given to the writer of these beautiful scriptures, shares with us his love and devotion to the Lord. Some folks find these psalms difficult to comprehend. Here is my understanding of the first ode.

Ode One

  1. The Lord is on my head like a crown and I shall not be without Him
  2. They wove for me a crown of Truth and it caused Your branches to bud in me.
  3. For it is not like a withered crown which does not bud but You live upon my head and You have blossomed upon my head.
  4. Your fruits are full grown and perfect. They are full of Your salvation.

Verse One

The Lord is on my head like a crown signifies both the anointing of the Holy Spirit which is often referred to as the Baptism of the Spirit and the spiritual consciousness of the Christ.

One of the first laws of spiritual manifestation is “consciousness first then outer manifestation.” This is true for something as small as finding a parking space as it is for the ultimate manifestation of Bible Ascension in its complete demonstration… overcoming physical death.

Attaining the Christ Consciousness and consequently manifesting the fullness of Bible Ascension in your outer life is progressive. It begins with hearing the gospel story, which is the good news of what is possible through faith in the ministry work of Jesus. (The birth into Light)

Verse Two

The words of this possibility (the crown of truth) is full of life. Jesus said that His words were spirit and life. He also said that He was the Truth and the Life and that when you know the Truth the Truth will set you free.

Solomon of the Odes states in verse 2 that they wove a crown of truth for him and this crown caused the Lord’s branches to blossom in him. The crown of truth is the gospel — the good news of being birthed by faith into this new species of Divine Beings who are temples of God’s glory and able to demonstrate supernatural abilities as they step out of the mortal limitation into the Light and Life of Christ.

As these power concepts penetrate the consciousness of the listener, the new birth begins its process of manifestation. The first step is the building of the “incorruptible seed” of the Christ Consciousness. At this point it is not full grown but the possibility of this new life has started to sprout in the new believer’s consciousness.

Verse Four

The budding of the “incorruptible seed” is not different than any other sprout. It requires the right amount of watering and light to bring it into a “full grown and perfect fruit.” (verse 4) The potential for a perfect fruit is there from the beginning. Likewise, so is the potential for your full grown and perfect fruit or the manifestation of Bible Ascension. The potential is there the moment you believe but it will take time and effort to give this seed what it requires for it to spring forth into your outer reality fully developed.

When Solomon of the Odes declares that the Lord’s fruit is full of is salvation, he implies that everything included in this thing we called salvation is already developed in the unmanifested realm. The fullness of what I call Bible Ascension, some call salvation, is fully available… just waiting for our realization of this reality and the exercising of our faith and the doing of the acts of faith to pull it forth into our outer reality.

Salvation is more than heaven or hell. It is the full and complete transformation from the human condition into this new species of Light Beings who manifest the fullness of God’s glory in their physical forms. This is why I often refer to members of this new species as the Glorified Ones.

Verse Three

In verse 3, the Odist refers to this crown as one that is not withered. There are some “ideas” that are not powerful enough to cause their seed to blossom and to bring forth fruit in your consciousness and later in your outer reality.

Some “spiritual ideas” do not come from the spiritual realms but are created only out of the minds of the founders of these specific philosophies. The ideas do not carry the same power as do the words of Christ which as Jesus said are “Spirit and Life.”

I believe that one can sense the force of a powerful idea. But certainly you can judge spiritual ideas by their results. If after making the effort to water and cultivate these ideas, you see no results then you might want to re-evaluate their spiritual power and effectiveness.

Solomon of the Odes declares in Ode 18 verse 3 that “sickness was removed from my body and it stood to the Lord by His will. For His kingdom is true!” This is a demonstration of the power of the words of the Lord to manifest  “full grown and perfect fruit” in the life of a believer who applies these truths in his/her life.

Apostle Paul once said that he did not come with fancy words but with power. In this, he meant that you should judge the value of the message by the miracles performed through the words spoken and not just the words. Jesus said the same thing when he said that if you did not believe what he said then at least believe the miracles he performed.

Some spiritual ideas do not promise much of anything. There is absolutely no power if there is not a promise to which you can attach your faith. Nothing in life happens without faith and faith can not come without a promise in which to believe.

Also note that in verse 3 the Odist states that “You (the Lord) live on my head and You have blossomed on my head.”  The Lord is in His word. The Lord’s gospel (the message of the promise of Bible Ascension in its fullness) is empowered by the Christ and can not be separated from Him. This is the true source of the power contained in the Word of God. This is a great mystery that many have not understood.

Jesus, the Incarnation of the Cosmic Christ

Let me remind my readers and inform my new visitors that I believe Jesus is the incarnation of the Cosmic Christ. I do not separate Jesus from the Christ. I know many metaphysical students believe that Jesus is just like us only more highly evolved. I do not believe this to be true.

In my understanding, Jesus is not like me but I can become like Him. Part of the ministry work of Jesus was what is often referred to as the Great Exchange… not a bible term.  In the Great Exchange, Jesus becomes like us so that we can be like Him. He becomes sin (separation from God) so that we can become the righteousness of God (right standing with God). He becomes poor so that we can be rich. He bares our sickness so that we can walk in His divine health.

Solomon of the Odes also believes that Jesus (He calls him Lord but it is obvious that he means Jesus) became like us so that we would not be afraid of His glory.  (see Ode 7 verse 4).  He speaks of this great exchange in Ode 3. I will cover this topic more at a later time.

One more thing I want to emphasize to you…

You have the Divine right and responsibility to choose what you will believe… the crown of truth which you will place upon your head. I hope that through this post you realize that not all truth has the same power to transform you or your life. You must choose carefully those truths in which you will place your faith. No one can tell you what to believe. It truly is your choice. However…

What you believe matters — so choose well!

Introduction to the Odes of Solomon

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Hello, my name is Marty Dow and I would like to introduce you to one of the most exquisite sacred scriptures I have ever read. You can feel the Presence of God emanating from the pages as you read these beautiful odes.

I was introduced to these writings by Annalee Skarin, the person who first taught me to the idea of overcoming physical death while on earth. Annalee wrote 8 books on the ascension. It has been reported that she translated her body into light in the 1950’s. I have never met Annalee Skarin but her writings have been a source of knowledge and inspiration for me as I make my journey into light.

The Odes of Solomon may be one of the earliest documentations of the Bible ascension process. I can not be sure who wrote these beautiful scriptures. However, for the purpose of our study on Bible ascension, I choose to treat them as being written by one man who I call Solomon of the Odes. I believe that they contain the exact steps used by this one person to achieve his ascension into light.

Odes of Solomon were translated by J. Rendel Harris, M. A., Hon, Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge, sometime within the last century. Below are some of the comments made by the translator about these mysterious odes:

“Here are some of the most beautiful songs of peace and joy that the world possesses. Yet their origin, the date of their writing, and the exact meaning of may of the verses remain one of the great literary mysteries.

They have come down to us in a single and very ancient document in Syriac language. Evidently that document is a translation from the original Greek. Critical debate has raged around these Odes; one of the most plausible explanations is that they are songs of newly baptized Christians of the First Century.

They are strangely lacking in historical allusions. Their radiance is no reflection of other days. They do not borrow from either the Old Testament or the Gospels. The inspiration of these verses is first-hand. They remind you of Aristides’ remark, ‘A new people with whom something Divine is mingled.’ Here is vigor and insight to which we can find parallels only in the most exalted parts of the Scriptures.

There does not seem to be anything about which everyone seems agreed unless it is that the Odes are of singular beauty and high spiritual value.”

I am excited to use the Odes of Solomon in our discussions of the Bible in light of our ascension because these powerful writings reflect the Biblical teachings of Jesus. Solomon of the Odes is clearly a disciple of Jesus Christ. He often speaks of salvation through grace and of frequently refers to the Messiah. (Ode 34: 6)

In several of the Odes, he switches from his own voice to the voice of Jesus as he describes the experiences of Christ on the cross and in the realms of death. (Ode 22, 42) In Ode 19, he gives a clear picture of the role of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the incarnation of Christ. He describes Mary and her reactions to birth of her son, Jesus.

Solomon of the Odes shares his transformation into light in many of the Odes. In Ode 21, he describes how he put off darkness and clothed himself in light resulting in a body that was free from sorrow or affliction or pains. In Ode 25, he writes of being clothed with the covering of the Spirit and that his human raiment had been removed. In this we can understand that he was clothed with light.

A beautiful reference to Solomon of the Odes immortality is referenced in Ode 28. Here is says, “For I am ready before the destruction comes (death); and I have been set on His immortal pinions: and He showed me His sign: forth and gave me to drink, and from that life is the spirit within me, and it cannot die, for it lives.”

He frequently writes of the deathless life that comes through the Messiah. In Ode 15:10-11, he states, “And there has gone up deathless life in the Lord’s land, and it has been made known to His faithful ones, and it has been given without stint to all those that trust in Him. Hallelujah.”

Another reason I am pleased to use the Odes of Solomon in our Bible study is that these Odes were discovered and translated just over 100 years ago. They were translated only once. Many metaphysical and alternative spiritual seekers are often resistant to the Bible because of the fear of mistranslations and omissions. To find so much confirmation to the Bible’s teachings on the ascension in these writings helps to confirm the reliability of the Bible in this area.

I will be teaching more on the Odes of Solomon in the Metaphysical Bible Study: The Bible In Light of Our Ascension Blog as well as creating other powerful resources based on the Odes of Solomon to aid you in your ascension work.

I have recently updated the Odes of Solomon to a more modern language. I simply translated thee and thou to you and your to make it more easy to read.
